What an audit
actually says.
A redacted composite of findings we see constantly. Client name and URLs removed; the findings, fixes, and order are exactly how we deliver them.
Get yoursNine findings, plainly stated.
Every line is what's wrong, what fixes it, and what it costs you to leave it. No scores without reasons.
Structured data
No schema markup anywhere on the site. Assistants are inferring the business type, services, and location from prose alone.
Build a connected Organization + LocalBusiness + Service graph, with FAQPage on the questions pages.
High — this is the single biggest blocker to being named in an answer.
AI crawler access
robots.txt inherits a platform default that disallows GPTBot and does not mention OAI-SearchBot or PerplexityBot.
Explicit allow rules for each assistant crawler, plus an llms.txt summary of the business.
High — nothing else matters if the crawler never gets in.
Entity clarity
Service area is described as "the surrounding area." No city or region is ever named in text.
Name the cities served in body copy and in areaServed, and add a service-area page.
High for local queries — "near me" intent can't resolve to you.
Extractable answers
Pages open with atmosphere. Pricing, timeline, and process are never stated in a single quotable sentence.
Lead each key page with a direct answer, then support it. Add a real FAQ with specifics.
Medium-high — determines whether a model can quote you at all.
Titles and descriptions
Four pages share the same title tag; two have no meta description. Homepage title is the business name only.
Unique, intent-matched title and description per page, keyword first, brand last.
Medium — direct effect on click-through from both search and AI citations.
Heading structure
Two H1s on the homepage; section headings are styled divs, not heading tags.
One H1 per page, semantic H2/H3 nesting that mirrors how the content is organized.
Medium — affects both crawl parsing and passage extraction.
Canonicals and sitemap
No sitemap.xml. Canonical tags point at the homepage on every page.
Generated sitemap wired to the real route list, self-referencing canonicals per page.
High — homepage canonicals actively suppress every other page.
Core Web Vitals
LCP 4.1s on mobile, driven by three uncompressed hero images at full resolution.
Responsive image sizes, modern formats, lazy loading below the fold.
Medium — ranking factor and a real conversion cost.
Analytics
Analytics installed and firing correctly on all pages.
Add conversion events for form submits and calls so lead source is attributable.
Low — foundation is fine, instrumentation is thin.
And the order to fix them.
An audit without a sequence is a list of complaints. This is the part clients actually use.
Unblock
Crawler access, canonicals, sitemap. Nothing improves while these are wrong.
Structure
Schema graph, headings, entity clarity, service areas named in text.
Answer
Rewrite key pages to state answers directly. Real FAQ with specifics.
Measure
Search Console, conversion events, and monthly AI mention checks.
